Embedded School Mental Health Program

2020-2022 Core Award - $2,115,000.00

Individual and group therapy services are provided to children within the school setting on topics including social skills, healthy relationships, trauma, and grief. Interventions and skill-building activities are provided in an effort to assist the success of academic supports and healthy child development. Case management will be provided to assist with alternative housing. Embedded school staff are placed in Normandy, Kirkwood, and Lindbergh School Districts.

Psychiatric Services

2020-2022 Core Award - $852,000.00

BJC Behavioral Health provides initial psychiatric evaluations to children and adolescents, with subsequent psychiatric treatment as deemed clinically appropriate for each child and their family. Psychiatrists make comprehensive treatment recommendations as it relates to pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions. The program provides direct treatments, where appropriate, with recommended referrals in the community or within the organization, when appropriate. BJC Behavioral Health takes referrals from anyone within the community seeking psychiatric evaluation for a child of any age.
