BE GREAT: Graduate is a comprehensive, targeted dropout prevention intervention offered to Normandy High School teens, which is designed to enhance youth engagement with learning by providing consistent support from a network of caring and trusted professionals. Based on the evidence-based "Check & Connect" model, the program uses counseling and case management with a Licensed Masters-level Social Worker and small group mentoring sessions developed by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in healthy lifestyles, character education, and education & career development, with goals for participating teens to develop the academic, emotional and social skills necessary to achieve academic success. Programming takes place during the school day and after school in the spring and fall semesters and in a full-day eight-week summer program in 2020 through 2022.

The Teen Center of Excellence in North St. Louis County, located in Ferguson, addresses the social, emotional, and physical health of teens from four North County school districts. A robust slate of programs focuses on promoting health and wellness, academic achievement, workforce development, STEAM, and leadership and civic engagement.
2020-2022 Core Award - $185,000.00
BGCSTL provides programs focused on risk prevention and building health and life skills for youth ages 6 - 18 at three school-based Boys & Girls Clubs in North St. Louis County: the Riverview Gardens Club at Highland Elementary in the Riverview Gardens School District; the Hazelwood Elementary School Club at Larimore Elementary School; and the Hazelwood Middle School Club as Southeast Middle School and Hazelwood East High School in the Hazelwood School District. These programs include the SMART (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) Girls program for Club girls and Passport to Manhood program for Club boys. These programs (as well as BGCSTL's additional comprehensive youth development programs) are offered every day after school and during a seven- to eight-week summer camp for youth to reach three priority outcomes: academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.
