Room at the Inn provides temporary shelter services and transitional housing services for homeless youth, ages 19 years and younger. Children receive safe and welcoming shelter, food, shower and laundry facilities, age-appropriate access to computers, clothes, school and personal supplies, as needed. The project ensures that school-aged children are in school and if not, the enrollment process is started within three days of entering the shelter.
The program uses an integrated approach to mitigate negative outcomes for children in shelter while working with their adult family member(s) to develop a self-sufficiency plan. Through this program, families will secure stable housing and achieve a positive sense of well-being.
